Now Available: Custom activity retention times

By default, Postmark stores message content and activity data for 45 days. If 45 days is too short (or too long), this new add-on gives you have the flexibility to adjust retention from 7-365 days.

If you ever wondered if there’s a way to adjust how long Postmark stores messages and activity insights, you’re not alone. Providing a way to customize your retention settings was one of our most popular customer requests—and it's now available!

We’ll continue to store messages and activity logs for 45 days by default. With our Custom Activity Retention Add-on, you can now pick a retention time that works best for you.

👀 Decide how long Postmark will store activity data and message content

With this new add-on, you have full control over how long we keep message content and activity data in your Postmark account. You can:

  • Increase your data retention to up to a year. Maybe you’re delivering digital goods via email and need to keep proof that you actually sent those emails. Or your support team would love deeper visibility into past email activity. Whatever your use case, setting longer retention time will help with troubleshooting, record-keeping, and compliance.
  • Decrease your data retention and make sure Postmark will purge all customer data after 7 or 28 days. This is a great option for all senders who frequently deal with DSR requests under GDPR.
