How do I customize a receipt, generate PDF receipts, & add additional email addresses for receipts?

This guide covers how to:

  • Add a custom receipt memo (address, company name, Tax ID, etc.)

  • Add additional email recipients for receipts and billing alerts

  • Update the billing address and “Bill To” name on future receipts

  • Download a PDF version of any receipt


Add a custom memo to your receipts

Use the Receipt memo to include a billing address, company name, VAT/GST/Tax ID, or other notes.

Steps

  1. Go to Account → Billing details.

  2. In Receipt memo, add your address, company name, Tax ID, or any text you want to appear on receipts.

  3. Click Save billing info.

Changes apply to future receipts only.


Send receipts to additional recipients (billing notifications)

You can add billing-only recipients to get:

  • Receipt copies

  • Payment error notifications

  • Low-credit alerts

Steps

  1. Go to Account → Overview.

  2. Scroll to Billing notifications.

  3. Enter an email address and click Add another contact for more recipients (optional).

  4. Click Save changes.

Note: Billing notification recipients are not added as Postmark users and can’t sign in. To grant account access, invite them as users separately.


Change the billing address on receipts

The billing address is pulled from your card’s billing address.

To update

  1. Go to Account → Billing details.

  2. Add your card again with the updated billing address.

  3. Remove the old card.

Updates affect future receipts.


Change the “Bill To” name

Receipts use the Account owner’s name for “Bill To.”

To update

  1. Have the Account owner sign in.

  2. Go to Account → Profile (owner’s profile).

  3. Update the name and save.

Applies to future receipts.


Get a PDF copy of your receipts

PDF receipts are automatically attached to invoice emails whenever we process a payment. You can also download them anytime from your account.

Steps

  1. Go to Account → Receipts.

  2. Click any receipt.

  3. Click Print (or your browser’s print menu), then choose Save as PDF.

  4. Save.


Can I change past receipts?

No. All changes (memo, billing address, “Bill To,” recipients) apply to future receipts only.
