Why is my credit card declined?

Sometimes when we attempt to charge the credit card on file we get an error from the card provider. Unfortunately, they don't share details with Postmark about why the charge failed.

As such, you'll want to reach out to the card provider to get clarification on why that specific charge is being declined. They can help ensure future charges are allowed through in the future.

Alternatively, you can try adding another card, you can do that from your billing details page:

  1. Select Account.
  2. Select Billing Details.
  3. Select Use a new credit card.
  4. Input Details

Once done, you can retry the card within your Postmark account, you’ll see a red banner at the top of the screen, prompting you to make the payment:

Click on the Invoice page link and when you have the correct payment method, click on Retry Payment:
