How do I send with Contact Form 7 and Postmark for WordPress?

Contact Form 7 is a popular free contact form plugin for WordPress. Contact Form 7 uses the wp_mail() WordPress function for sending emails, making it is an excellent contact form plugin to use with Postmark for WordPress. Using the Postmark for Wordpress and Contact Form 7 plugins together will let you quickly have your form sending form submission emails to you.

Prerequisites

If you have not already done so, create a Postmark account and install/configure the Postmark for WordPress plugin. Once you have a Postmark account and have successfully sent a test email from WordPress through Postmark, you are ready to start using Contact Form 7 with Postmark to receive form submissions from your WordPress site.

Install Contact Form 7

In your WordPress dashboard, click on Plugins > Add New. Search for ‘contact form 7’. Locate Contact Form 7 in the results and click Install Now. Once installed, click Activate to activate the plugin.

Set where emails will be sent to

Your first form will automatically be created for you when you activate Contact Form 7. Click on Contact > Contact Forms from the sidebar and then click Edit for your form. The automatically generated form will be called Contact Form 1. The edit area will let you modify the content and settings for your new form, including the form’s name. For now, just set the To field in the Mail tab to where you want to receive form submissions at.

Add the form to a page

Copy the snippet under Shortcode for your form. Paste this Shortcode onto the page where you want your contact form to be placed.

Send a test form submission

Once you have added the form to a page, fill out a test submission to make sure everything is working as expected. Head over to the Contact Form 7 documentation for more information on modifying the form’s fields and settings.
